Pure Enchantment - A Poem
PURE ENCHANTMENT
I once was lost in fear
of losing what feeble life
I had, nibbling desperately
at the crumbs of being,
clinging to the cliff of
existence, no other options
involved. Then one priceless,
precious afternoon I found
the reason I was born, the meaning,
the feeling, the core of my
very soul. Now I stare
into the azure iris of pure
enchantment, of love honest
and deep and ever-invading.
No longer afraid to live,
to hurt, to laugh, to cry,
able to die in contentment,
for I have seen your eyes.
