THE SHADOW THAT GUIDES ME STILL

You are beside me though you don't know it,

You guide me, confide in me, show me

The secrets you do not dare

Reveal. I feel you incessantly. You are

Real to me. More real than anything my life

Can bring me. I sing when you are near.

My heart fears nothing. I am at one with me.

The true self I have never shown to

Anyone else. I am free with you. My shadow,

My guide, my very spirit. The flow of my blood

Depends on you, transcends the view of living

Here. I am home, with you.
